Q1 What do I need to become a car2go member?

Prospective members must have a/an:

 Valid driver’s license in China, with at least 1 year driving history

 Chinese mobile Number (consistent with the mobile number used in registering the Alipay account)

 Valid E-mail Address

 Alipay account (the email address or mobile number used in registering the Alipay account)

Q2 What should I do if I get into an accident?

1. If you get into an accident, please mind your own safety. If any other people involved in the accident, please record his/her license plate, phone number, etc., and try to contact car2go call center via 400-668-1037 as soon as possible. We will help you to call the police.

2.The presence of the car2go staff does not affect or represent any car2go’s views and positions about the judgement of the accident responsibility and accident handling. The judgement of responsibility and car2go’s following handling process entirely follow the police judgement.

3. You have to prepay the car2go and other people’s car repair and medical expenses firstly bases on China insurance process. You need to keep accident related files (including accident police judgement reports, invoice of repair and medical expense and etc.) and cooperate with car2go to get other documents required for insurance claim.

4.In order to improve rental utilization, car2go holds the rights to repair the damage cars already adjusted by insurance company or workshop without member’s confirmation.

5. After insurance company settles the claim, we will deduct the penalty you should undertake. And for the expense of repair and medical you prepaid, you will receive it within 30 workdays after car2go received it from insurance company(the amount of money depends on the judgement of insurance company).Please notice that the time you could receive the money depends on the willingness of your cooperation, the accident’s severity, the duration of repair and the settlement process of insurance company.

6. The Member must not assume any liability or waive any claim or make any similar declarations in the event of an accident involving a car2go vehicle driven by the Member. Where the Member makes a declaration assuming liability or waiving claims in spite of this prohibition, such declaration shall exclusively apply to the Member personally. Neither the owner,keeper nor the insurer of the vehicle shall be bound by such declaration. If the Member has received any such payments, the Member has to transfer them to car2go without further demand.

Q3 How can I end my rental?

You can end your rental only when fulfilling all of the following requirements:

 End rental on municipal public or car2go special parking spots in home area or hot area

 All doors are closed (including the left and right hand doors and the trunk)

 Car keys are returned to the holder

 All lights are off

Q4 Can I refuel a car2go vehicle?

We don’t suggest our members refueling by themseleves. Our car2go fleet team will make sure the vehicles have sufficient fuel. If the vehicle is out of fuel, please make a phone call to our customer service center at 400 668 1037 immediately.

Q5 What should I do if I violated traffic regulations?

If the member found traffic violation ticket before the rental, please feel free to start rental, and kindly put the ticket into the vehicle. After we received the traffic violation ticket, our member service team will identify the related member who caused the ticket, and the member will be informed via call or email. Please kindly clear the ticket within 30 days, upon you’ve got the notification from member service team via call or email. If you cannot clear it within certain period, we will charge you the fine cost and processing fee. Please refer our fee policy for the charging details.

Q6 What if I find an error in my car2go journey details?

If you have any inquiry in settlement of car2go services, you can make phone call to customer service center 400 668 1037.

Q8 car2go Android App Permissions

We added three new permissions in order to make the car2go Radar feature also available in China.

The car2go Android App uses the permissions listed below for the following reasons:
